• Astrology During Pisces

The Sun enters the sign of Pisces on February 18th at 10:19 a.m., Mountain Time. Pisces is a water sign and is associated with the mystic of the Zodiac, nebulous Neptune.  Pisces is the Dreamer of all the signs of the Zodiac and usually lives in a bubble. The rest of the world doesn’t exist much of the time for this creative sign. Pisces is the guru or the druggie. This is the sign that needs to be in an altered state of consciousness, whether it’s through meditation, yoga, music or a glass of wine.

If you remember, we just had a Super Blue Moon Eclipse on January 31st. A Blue Moon is the second Full Moon in a calendar month. We had a Blue Moon in January and we will have one in March as well, but with no Eclipse this time. The first Full Moon this month will be on March 1st and is in the sign of Virgo. Then the second Full Moon or the Blue Moon will happen on March 31st and is in the sign of Libra. February squeezed by with having no Full Moon at all. Once in a Very Blue Moon, as the song says, is a rare and special thing. I consider these two Blue Moons gifts to humanity.

There is a party of planets in Pisces now, but some of those planets will be moving into Aries, which will make us all more ready to initiate projects. Usually the laid-back Pisces likes to dream and not act as much as Aries. The combination is creative as well as forward moving. Mercury enters Aries on March 5th and Venus enters Aries on March 6th. So the Aries energy should kick in around then. Save any projects that need effort for after that time. If you want to do some writing, this is your time!

Daylight Savings Time is upon us again and will begin on March 11th. Much of the world and most of the US observes this twice a year event and will move their clocks forward one hour. Of course, in the autumn, the clocks are moved back one hour.  Arizona and Hawaii don’t observe this time-bending ritual, which always makes it tricky for me during these two transition weeks. Even though I try, I usually am an hour off with at least one client. Not my favorite time of the year, I admit.

There is a group of planets forming in Capricorn now, which is so important that I’ve been writing about it. The sign of Capricorn is about rules and regulations, government, corporations and the elite. Power hungry Pluto has been in Capricorn since 2008 and Saturn entered Capricorn on December 2017. Now feisty little Mars is joining them both. Mars enters Capricorn on March 17th and remains there until May 16th. Mars could easily bring heat to already hot situations, often triggering off events. Mars joins Saturn on April 1st and then joins Pluto on April 26th. So this will be a good moth to watch these important dates.

Looking at the visible planets this month, we still have most of our planets in the morning predawn sky. If you get up about ½ hour before sunrise, you will see Jupiter, Mars and Saturn along the Ecliptic. But finally the late sleepers will have a treat. Venus has emerged as the “Evening Star” now and can be seen low in the western horizon after sunset. I always love her in the evening sky.

Have a fabulous month and I’ll see you in Aries!
