    Astrology During Virgo

The Sun enters the sign of Virgo on August 22nd at 8:38 p.m., Mountain Time. Virgo is an earth sign and is associated with the planet Mercury. Virgo is the perfectionist of the Zodiac. They are definitely on the OCD end of the spectrum. Organization and planning come naturally for Virgo. This sign also wants to serve and help the world. Typical Virgo occupations include being an accountant, chiropractor, computer analyst, coders, critic, healer, mathematician and pharmacist. There is also an earthy side to Virgo that loves pottery and gardening. If you need help, a Virgo is a good person to ask.

Mercury will be doing a retrograde from September 11th – 30th. Mercury turns retrograde three times a year for about three weeks each time. It’s the perfect time to regroup and reorganize. The fall is a productive time for this retrograde so we can all prepare for the winter. What do you need to do to wrap up the summer? These are the dates to tackle anything that needs being organized or put away. The only thing not to do is to actually sign a contract during this retrograde.

Speaking of retrogrades, Jupiter just turned retrograde on July 30th and will be retrograde all the way until November 22nd. I don’t usually write much about the outer planet retrogrades, but this one is important. Jupiter left spiritual Pisces and entered active Aries on May 11th. Jupiter will retrograde back into Pisces from October 29th until December 30th. After that Jupiter will remain in Aries until May 16, 2023. While Jupiter is in Pisces, focus on your dreams and what you want to happen. When it goes into Aries, it’s the time to implement your plans. This is a powerful time to be definite about what you want and Jupiter will help it happen. Think Big!

The other planetary alignment that is happening now is stodgy old Saturn still squaring radical Uranus. Most of their dance happened in 2021, but there’s more. It peaks on Tuesday, November 8th exactly on the midterm election day. To top it off, there is a Lunar Eclipse that day too. You can’t make this up! I wrote an entire article about that day and will be writing another one for the Libra newsletter. There will be major unrest and demonstrations that will coincide with this election, guaranteed.

About the visible planets, Saturn has emerged in the evening sky and will be rising in the east early evening. The rest of the planets, Jupiter, Venus and Mars are still in the predawn sky as they have been for the last few months.

See you in Libra for the Fall Equinox!
