Astrology for Sagittarius

The Sun enters the sign of Sagittarius on November 22nd at 1:22 a.m., Mountain Time. Sagittarius is a fire sign and is associated with the biggest planet of all, Jupiter. They are a great pair for each other since they both like abundance. Typical Sag occupations include college professors, adventure seekers, broadcasters, clergy, marketing, philanthropists and publishers. They often speak different languages because of their love of travel. Sag is talented in looking at the big picture. Their challenge is to stay focused and not take on too much.

The month of Sag starts out with Mars retrograde in Gemini. Mars only turns retrograde approximately every two years and stays in reverse motion for about 2 ½ months. This retrograde will last from November 1 – January 11. All retrogrades are times to rethink, regroup and reboot. The sign the planet is in determines the area that needs to be reorganized. Gemini is the sign of the mind, writing and mental attitudes. No matter what your sign, this will be a time to let go of outdated ideas and change how you view things. This is also a great time to go through your files and organize your office. At least go through your emails and clean them up. There might be a stressful feeling in the air, so it’s a suitable time to try to meditate and stay calm. Count to 10. Breathe. Confusion and upsets are very likely.

Right at the end of this Sag month is another unusual astrological event. Jupiter has been retrograding in Pisces and is going to enter Aries on December 20th. Pisces often brings a spiritual yet unsettled time and Aries will be more resolute and direct. Jupiter will be in Aries until May 2023, which is a quick pass for Jupiter. This could bring intensities the first part of next year. I’ve written an entire article on Jupiter in Aries for this newsletter.

All of this adds up to a pretty forceful and passionate time for the world. On a personal level, you will have access to an extra strong level of energy. On the challenge side, it will likely be a time of fighting, being irritable and impatient. If you know your chart, it would be helpful to see where Gemini is and how Mars will be triggering off your chart. In addition, both Venus and Mercury are in the fire sign of Sagittarius, to add more energy to the mix. The planets don’t need any more energy, so it might push things to the extreme. Take is easy.

Regarding the visible planets, they are all easily seen in the evening sky after months of them only being in the predawn sky. Venus is still quite close to the Sun, so she will be difficult to see for a little while. Keep an eye on her and she will emerge higher in the western sky right after sunset. We can see Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn in the evening sky. No planets are visible in the predawn sky this month.

    See you all in Capricorn.
